Sariko Olasiti Lodge & Garden Park is located just 15 minutes from Arusha City Centre and is easily accessible on the way to Mbauda. Sariko Olasiti is conveniently located for all commuters and provides both accommodation and conferencing facilities.

Transport

Local transport is easily accessible using commuters’ mini-buses known as ‘daladala’ at cheapest rate of 500Tshs. One can also hire a taxi which is usually costs less than 10,000/- for what is known as town trips.

Weather

Arusha is experiencing dry periods and shorty rains between October and December. The temperature is expected to be between 28°C - 30°C. It is advised that you bring warm clothes as weather is subsequently subjected to change at some moments.

Lodges and hotels

Arusha is known to have the best hotels and guest house of preferable qualities with affordable rates. It is a touristic corridor which is harbouring thousands of foreigners each year. You may find a hotel, guest house or lodge with rates from 15USD.

The conference provides you with some possible options, and we are willing to support your hotel booking.

Banking facilities

Banks are generally open from 09.00hrs to 15.00hrs Monday to Friday and from 09.00hrs to 12.00hrs on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays.

Denomination of Tanzanian Shillings notes: 1,000TZS; 2,000TZS; 5,000TZS; 10,000TZS

Denomination of Coins: 50TSZ; 100TZS, 200TZS, 500TZS

The official currency of the Conference is Tanzanian Shillings and US Dollars. Fluctuations in foreign exchange markets are reflected in new rates daily.

Electricity and plugs

The electricity supply in Tanzania is Voltage: 220-240 Volts (U.S./Canada are 110-120 Volts). For the most part, electrical sockets (outlets) used in the United Republic of Tanzania is the "Type G” British BS-1363. If your appliance's plug doesn't match the shape of these sockets, you will need a travel plug adapter in order to plug in

Insurance

Registration fees do not include personal travel or health insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that when registering for the Conference and booking your travel, that travel and health insurance policies be taken out.

The Organising Committee and the Conference Secretariat do not take responsibility of any delegates failing to insure themselves. The Organising Committee and Conference Secretariat also accepts no liability for personal injuries, or for loss or damage to property belonging to Conference delegates, either during, or as a result of the Conference, please check the validity and upgrading of your own insurance for this purpose before leaving for Tanzania.

Letter of invitation

The Conference Secretariat will send a letter of invitation to delegates who request this service. Please note that the letter of invitation does not obligate the Conference Organising Committee or the Conference Secretariat to provide any financial support to attend the Conference. Letters of invitation will not be issued unless we are in receipt of your registration form and payment of registration fees. Registration details will be included in the 2nd Call for Papers.

Official language of the Conference

The official language of the Conference is English. Please note, all abstracts must be submitted in English.

Payment of conference fees

Payment proof should accompany registration forms.

Please note: All international payments into the conference bank account must include the surcharge to cover foreign exchange charges.

Registration

Registration will take place at Sariko Olasiti Lodge & Garden Park, Arusha, Tanzania from 22nd and 23rd November 2017.

The registration and information desk will be situated at Sariko Olasiti Lodge & Garden Park. Registration times will be noted on the final Programme.

Registration acknowledgement

All registrations will be acknowledged in electronic format with confirmation of delegate requirements according to the submitted registration form and upon receipt of payment.
