Latin America & Caribbean
Overview
The Latin America and the Caribbean region has members in Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, México, Panama, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.
The most recently added Chapter in the region is Argentina/Uruguay, which was added this year. It is expected that more Chapters will be formed in 2021.
Focus in 2021
At present, the Association is focused on creating greater awareness of the IAF in the region, strengthening its outreach, offering more of its services in Spanish and Portuguese, as well as promoting membership growth.

Building awareness of facilitation
Facilitation is creating a space within which people can empower themselves. (IAF Member Dale Hunter)
Part of the IAF's work in Latin America and the Caribbean, and elsewhere in the world, is to build greater awareness and understanding of professional facilitation and its benefits. Here is a short video (courtesy of the Instituto Internacional de Facilitación y Cambio) that helps to answer the question ¿Qué es lo que hacen los Facilitadores? or "What is it that facilitators do?.
