Updates in brief: Special Interest Groups + changes to privacy policy

03 April 2017

Special Interest Groups

We are delighted to announce our new concept to connect and grow with like-minded facilitators: IAF-hosted Special Interest Groups (SIGs). While chapters enable connecting with other facilitators in the same geographical area, SIGs bring together facilitators globally with a joint special interest. The first one is already active for Facilitation in Portuguese. Interested in founding the next Special Interest Group? Contact the IAF Director of Memberships, office@iaf-world.org.

Updates to the IAF Privacy Policy

With the introduction of Special Interest Groups, we have updated our Privacy Policy to clarify two issues: If you join a chapter or special interest group, the IAF will provide your contact details to the chapter or SIG lead. Your contact details will only be provided to volunteers or contractors after the signature of a data use agreement ensuring that your data will only be used for the intended purposes. We have also updated our office address in the privacy policy. For questions on these changes, contact the IAF Communications Director, communications@iaf-world.org.

On Thursday 16 March 2017, the Office of Quality Improvement at the University of Wisconsin was presented their 2016 FIA Award.

The ceremony took place at the monthly Focus on Facilitation meeting on campus.
