The IAF makes peer assessment and a professional credential available to its members in support of the association’s mission to grow the community of practice for all those who facilitate, establish internationally accepted professional standards, build credibility, and promote the value of facilitation around the world.
Happy New Year! Since January is a good time to reflect, we’ve taken a look back at all the things we achieved together last year. We had an incredible year at the International Association of Facilitators, and wanted to share with you some of the highlights:

On behalf the IAF Board of Directors, I bring you New Year’s greetings to you and yours!
The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) is a participatory organisation with members in more than 65 countries. As a professional association we set internationally accepted industry standards, provide accreditation, support a community of practice, advocate and educate on the power of facilitation and embrace the diversity of facilitators.
The IAF membership has reached a record high of over 1,680 members in 45 countries. To celebrate these achievements and to encourage others to join our dynamic, global community of practice, we are launching a month-long membership campaign.
The current growth of the IAF did not happen by accident. Two years ago, the board made a bold decision update the association´s brand, internal “back office” processes and outward-facing communication tools, including the website.
The IAF Nominating Committee would like to announce the results of the election and the new IAF board members. The candidates officially voted in are:
Treasurer: Tony Nash
Director of Memberships and Chapters: Nick Housego
Director of Professional Development: Cameron Fraser
One way in which we celebrate the power of facilitation during International Facilitation Week 2016 is by looking at the future of our profession.
Together with practitioners worldwide, the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) is currently designing a IAF Virtual Technology and Tools Center of Excellence web portal.
As a result of war and instability, migration to Sweden has increased immensely over the last few years. Many different parts of our society are working on how to best welcome and integrate new arrivals and so is the Swedish Chapter of IAF.
