Elections to the Board

About the Board

The Board of Directors is the leadership body of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF). Directors serve in a voluntary capacity and oversee the Association's operations and strategic initiatives. The key responsibilities and duties are explained in the general role description for all Directors.

The Board consists of 16 members, whose two year terms are staggered so that approximately half of the Board positions come to term each year.

Nomination Procedures

Each year, a Nominations Commitee of IAF members oversees the elections to the Board.

The 2016 Nominations Committee includes:

  • Bill Staples, IAF Hall of Fame, Chair of the Committee
  • Ronit Andorn-Broza, Canada
  • Giuseppe Totino, EMENA
  • Kofi Kumodzi, Africa
  • Michelle Rush, Oceania
  • Jonathan Bell, United States

All IAF members are invited to nominate themselves or other members to stand as candidates. As a volunteer-led Association, our success depends on the time and energy given of our members.

Candidates complete a Candidate Information Form, which is submitted with a current résumé or curriculum vitae, to the Nominations Committee.

  • Nominations closed on 23 September.
  • The election took place online from Oct 17-23, 2016 during International Facilitation Week.
