Do you wonder what it takes for people to really engage and participate in organizations, and in organizational change? Join us to connect, share & learn with others interested & involved in facilitating a culture of participation in organizations, from civil society and business sectors in Jordan. In this highly participatory, facilitated session we will reflect and learn together from our diverse experience and perspectives on the past, present and prospective futures of participation in organizations and organizational change, and we will consider practical ways that we ourselves can contribute to facilitating a culture of participation in our own organizations.
The session itself will demonstrate the practical role of group process facilitation in engaging people effectively to connect, learn and collaborate together for change, and cultural change, in organizations. We will share some key insights, tips & tools that enable professional facilitators to engage people effectively in bringing about change, and some practical examples from experiences of facilitating participation and organizational change in Europe and elsewhere. Jawad Haddadin and Muhannad Al Jarrah are founders of the IAF – Jordan chapter. They envisioned the chapter to act as hub to connect all those engaged in promoting a culture of participation and engagement in organizations and communities in Jordan. They are very pleased to host guest facilitator and presenter Martin Gilbraith whom will lead and facilitate this highly participatory session.
Martin is an independent facilitator, trainer and consultant based in London. He is a Certified Professional Facilitator of the International Association of Facilitators, former IAF Chair and IAF Europe Director and a member of the IAF Hall of Fame. He is former President of the Institute of Cultural Affairs International (ICAI), and an Associate and former Chief Executive of ICA:UK, the participation and development charity.
