The 2016 IAF North American & Caribbean Conference (IAFNAC 2016) will take place in Port of Spain under the theme Festival of Facilitation: Releasing Creativity, Generating Positive Energy and Nurturing Group Synergy. There will also be pre-conference events and Certified Professional Facilitator Assessments on April 6 & 7, 2016.

IAF North American & Caribbean Conference: Festival of Facilitation

IAFNAC 2016 marks the Association's first cross-regional conference of facilitation professionals in the Americas.

The conference theme, Festival of Facilitation, speaks to the fun, excitement and celebratory results that are achieved when facilitating group processes. It also pays tribute to the vibrant festivals that are integral to the culture of Trinidad & Tobago.

The programme will be focused on sessions that are participatory and convey the power of process facilitation in releasing creativity, generating positive energy, and harnessing and nurturing group synergy to produce effective outcomes.

For more information, including to subscribe to conference updates, please visit the IAF North America & Caribbean Conference website.

Call for Proposals: Join the festival!

We are seeking innovative and creative workshop proposals that will increase both personal and professional understanding of facilitation. What works? What doesn’t? What are the challenges? What have we learned already, and what do we still need to learn? What will help us as we strive to make facilitation one of the pivotal skills of the 21st century?

We invite you to be a part of our Festival of Facilitation and to submit your proposal(s) for pre-conference workshops and/or concurrent sessions at conference. Help to lead the collegial learning experience.

Proposals are requested for 90 minute or half-day workshops (180 minutes) for the conference days on April 8 and 9, 2016 and for one-day or two-day workshops at the preconference on April 6 and 7, 2016.

All proposals should be received by November 21st 2015 via the online submission process.

For more information, download the complete Call for Proposals instructions.

We look forward to seeing you in beautiful Trinidad & Tobago in April 2016!
