The Futures Triangle is a tool developed by Dr Sohail Inayatullah in 2008. In Facilitating Futures and Foresight, we use this to create a frame from within which to view the current forces at work on a group’s/organisation’s planning and decision making for impact and future growth. 

 

In this SIG session, we’ll talk about what mapping means in Futures and Foresight, introduce you to three different approaches that you can use (and discuss others that the group has used in the past), and then play with Futures Triangle together in an interactive exercise. 

 

You’ll leave with practical experience in using the Futures Triangle and some ideas about how to use this method in your work with groups.
