What we will do

Because of COVID-19 we are all moving online. With some creativity we are able to make this move. But how can we become better? The real challenge is to engage learners online. With one click they turn off their webcam or start responding mails. How to avoid this?

We will start with a short introduction of two engagement models: the ARCS model and a model by Jennifer Frederick’s: theorization of engagement as having three dimensions: behavioural, emotional, and cognitive. On the basis of these models, we will look at our own practices and see how they can be improved. So, bring one of your projects to work on. We promise to make it an active and inspiring session.
