Global Mentorship Program
IAF Global Mentorship Program
The IAF Global Mentorship program is designed to be a value add for our global members. It will offer them an opportunity to engage with more experience mentors around the world and the program will be the base for a future Endorsed Facilitator credential.
The program will be for a fixed period of 6 months so there is a specific start and end. This to make is easier for members to decide if they would like to commit to the program for the period of time.
Visit the Mentorship Program Resources page for documents relating to the Program.
Mentees will find their mentors and match themselves
This will allow mentees to select the exact Mentor they want. Mentors will be allowed to take up to 3 mentees maximum during the 6 month period.
Post Mentor Matching Process
Mentors and Mentees will be required to sign off on a Mentoring contract which will outline the mentor and mentee’s roles and responsibilities as part of the Global Mentorship Program. This will also include a Mentoring Code of Practice. A sample contract and code of practice has been attached as reference.
Contract will also outline the number of contact hours they will meet in a month. As part of the Global Mentorship Program a minimum of 2 hours per month will be required.
After the program launches, program supervisor will touch base with mentorship pairings monthly.
After the six-month program is completed, both the Mentor and Mentee will be asked to submit a Feedback and Evaluation form. Office, Program supervisor and Director of Professional Development will take any suggestions back to Board to update and change as needed for next year.
All Mentors will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for being part of the IAF Global Mentorship Program as a Mentor.
All Mentees will receive a Certificate of Completion from the IAF Global Mentorship Program.
