A tremendous amount of learning and exchange takes place at IAF conferences, regional and chapters’ events, and other activities, including virtual exchanges. The Association is increasingly capturing facilitation knowledge and experience in multimedia formats, for example, by expanding its library of facilitation related videos.

Michael Wilkinson is the Managing Director of Leadership Strategies, Inc., a leadership training and strategy consulting firm specializing in group facilitation. He is considered a national leader in the facilitation industry in the United States.

Understanding the concept of dominance

What has power got to do with facilitation? In this video, Nancy Luna Jiminez explains the role of dominance in groups and why it matters for facilitated group processes. Trying to talk about the conpect of dominance can be challenging, but not impossible and very necessary. Nancy has a way of taking the topic of dominance and making it not only understandable, but motivating to change.
