Julian Griggs is one of the founding Principals of the Dovetail Consulting Group, which specializes in collaborative approaches to environmental planning, resource management and organizational development. With more than 25 years of consulting experience working in Canada, the US, and Southern Africa, and graduate training in both natural and social sciences, Julian brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his work as a facilitator, trainer, coach, policy analyst and strategist. His recent projects have included: a review of government-to-government, shared decision making agreements on behalf of SFU’s Centre for Dialogue; working with several coalitions of First Nations and conservation organizations; strategic planning for various non-profit organizations; brokering dialogue between senior industry and environmental representatives on energy and climate issues at both the national and regional scale; and, several research projects examining multi-party collaborative initiatives. Julian previously held a position as Adjunct Professor at UBC's Institute for Resources and Environment and is currently an Associate with SFU's Centre for Dialogue.
