The IAF Oceania region includes Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and a number of other Pacific Island nations. The region has over a hundred IAF members and one chapter in the Australian state of Victoria.
Sharon Honner was appointed as the Regional Director in January 2017.
The Regional Committe meets on the first Tuesday of every month and is focusing on the following priorities in 2017:
- piloting a new mentoring program
- expanding opportunities for professional development in the region through the use of online channels such as webinars and YouTube micro learning videos
- supporting face-to-face networking and professional development events across the region
- establishing an online book club.

Congratulations to our new CPFs
The IAF CertifiedTM Professional Facilitator (CPF) is the professional designation for facilitators who wish to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in facilitation by being benchmarked against the IAF core competencies.
Since the first Oceania CPF assessment was held in Sydney in 2007, some 40 IAF members have successfully completed an assessment in the region.
The next Oceania assessment event will be held in Melbourne in November 2017.

Facilitation Impact Awards
The IAF Facilitation Impact Awards are the most prestigious international awards honouring excellence in facilitation and its positive, measurable impact on organizations around the world.
Submissions for the 2017 Facilitation Impact Awards will open on 1 May 2017 and close on 1 July 2017.
Award recipients will be announced durining International Facilitation Week in October.
