We call for nominations every 2 years.
Eligibility
To be eligible to nominate someone, you must:
- be an IAF member in good standing
- have been a member for at least 12 months when nominations close.
The person you nominate (the nominee) may or may not be an IAF member.
The Board of Directors and Facilitation Hall of Fame Committee members are not eligible to be nominated or to nominate others.
2024 Facilitation Hall of Fame
We congratulate this year's inductees!
Beatrice Briggs - A longtime IAF member, a CPF, and a former Regional Director of Latin American and the Caribbean, Beatrice greatly deserves the honour of induction. Beatrice founded the International Institute for Facilitation and Change, a consultancy firm based in Mexico. Pivotal in building membership in Latin America and the Caribbean, Beatrice is bilingual in English and Spanish and has translated key IAF materials into Spanish. She has written extensively on the profession of facilitation, including "No More Boring Meetings" (available on our website).
Basil Manning - Having practiced facilitation since the 1960s, Basil began facilitating before the concept was popularly acknowledged and remained a facilitator until just before his passing in October 2023. Over the years, he facilitated a range of groups and organisations in more than 30 countries in all continents, especially in Europe, Asia, and Africa, and in different sectors. Central to a large part of Basil's work was in the development of a model for Recognising and Tracking Racism, Sexism, and other forms of Oppression (later known as the Social Inclusion model). Basil is most deserving of his posthumous induction.
Laura Hsu - With over 30 years of facilitation experience, Laura has navigated many high-stakes workshops in the corporate and government sectors. She has been instrumental in the promotion of facilitation and the creation of facilitation communities in China. Not only has Laura made great contributions to the field but she is a skilled professional who has nurtured other facilitators along their professional journeys. Laura has also contributed to translating key facilitation resources from English into Mandarin, increasing the awareness of facilitation in China and Taiwan. It is an honour to induct Laura this year.
Trevor Durnford - Having served on the IAF Board as Vice-Chair and Chair, and as Director on one of the most impactful facilitation companies in the world, Trevor is a distinguished addition to the Facilitation Hall of Fame. Facilitating in English and Swedish, Trevor works in cross-cultural environments with executive global leadership teams as well as in the finance and corporate sectors and with emerging technologies.

The criteria to be nominated are:
