Call for proposals: IAF Asia Conference 2017 (Seoul, South Korea)
Do you know how to connect people and thinking for shared values? We want to hear your ideas! The organising team for the IAF Asia Conference 2017 is now looking for proposals for professional development workshops to be held during the conference (17-20 August 2017 in Seoul, South Korea).
The 2017 conference theme “Connect people and thinking for shared values” is the priority and focus for workshop proposals. We’re looking for proposals that will emphasise how facilitation can help create shared values and connect people and thinking for it.
All proposals should provide high-quality content, solid training, and interactive learning experiences. The extensive range of facilitation experience and diversity of facilitators at all levels should be taken into consideration. Each workshop must be aligned to one or more of IAF Core Competencies:
- Create Collaborative Client Relationships
- Plan Appropriate Group Processes
- Create and Sustain a Participatory Environment
- Guide Group to Appropriate and Useful Outcomes
- Build and Maintain Professional Knowledge
- Model Positive Professional Attitude
- 10 April 2017 – Deadline for proposal submissions (extended by one week)
- 24 April 2017 – Notification to proponents of successful proposals.
- Please download attached form to propose a pre-conference session or concurrent session for the IAF Asia Conference. Chosen sessions will be scheduled as a full day session or 2-3 hours session.
Please complete the form in its entirety and attach other documents to support your proposal, as needed. Copies of your proposal and attachments will be distributed to our Conference Programme Committee.

The Conference Programme Committee will review all proposals to create a balanced and varied programme. If there are a number of similar proposals, a member of the programme team may contact to suggest alternative approaches to your topic.
Please submit your proposal by email to : HongMi Chae, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for submission is the end of day on Monday, 3 April 2017
