Julian Griggs is one of the founding Principals of the Dovetail Consulting Group, specializing in collaborative approaches to environmental planning, resource management and organizational development. With three decades of consulting experience working in Canada, the US, and Southern Africa, and graduate training in natural and social sciences, Julian brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his work as a facilitator, trainer, coach, planner and strategist. His recent projects have included: a review of shared decision making agreements in BC; working with several coalitions of First Nations and conservation organizations; strategic planning for non-profit organizations; brokering dialogue between industry and environmental representatives on energy and climate issues at the national and regional scale; and, several research projects examining multi-party collaborative initiatives. Julian served as an Adjunct Professor at UBC's Institute for Resources and Environment and is an Associate with SFU's Centre for Dialogue.
Julian identifies as a white, male, settler Canadian and lives in the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh, and (Tsleil-Waututh).
