Many organisations have spent small fortunes to set up risk processes and supporting tools which then fail to deliver the expected value. This is because rational processes don't work well when trying to get groups of people to agree what is risky, why and what to do about it.

This 180-page book is a guide to designing effective Participant Engagement Tools (PETs). It covers "how to" design your own group exercises and "how to" incorporate concepts, such as the Ziegarnik Effect and Gamification. It covers "how to" conduct PETs to deal with a variety of situations from diversity, group dysfunction, conflict, and creativity to decision-making along with guidance on when to use each PET and "how to"
modify each for Participants and specific workshops. These PETs are not ends in themselves; they can be springboards for individual customization.

The book provides core evergreen marketing strategies for professionals and then discusses how to apply the concepts in the social web
environment. While written more for the accounting and legal sectors, the book has been well received in the facilitation community and was even an IAF
membership renewal giveaway in the past. Any professional facilitator who aspires to market their services will benefit from these engagement strategies and ideas.
