Alicia Lanier co-authored this peer-reviewed journal article that describes results from stakeholder engagement meetings that she conducted for two years for the Urban Water Innovation Network (UWIN) research project.  UWIN is a $12M National Science Foundation-funded trans-disciplinary project. As lead stakeholder engagement facilitator, Alicia worked closely with the UWIN client team to plan, organize, and facilitate five full-day stakeholder workshops across the US in 2016 and again in 2017. Alicia worked closely with the geographically dispersed engagement team to develop material for distribution prior to meetings; design interactive, consensus- and dialogue-based activities; and, plan meeting flow for optimum creativity.  The paper summarizes what we learned from the stakeholders in 2016, and describes the stakeholder engagement activities Alicia used with this group. Authors of the paper include J Bolson, MC Sukop, M Arabi, G Pivo, and A Lanier. The paper was published in the journal Water Resources Research 54 (5), 3453-3471
