Priorities for 2018

  1. Community: Connecting People, Engaging Peer to Peer Communities
We are working globablly with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) to grow the facilitation community of practice and will be hosting joint IAF and IIBA professional development events in the Oceania region during 2018. We have also set an ambitious goal of hosting at least eight regional professional development events this year.
  2. Establishing Professional Pathways
Our goal for 2018 is to enhance the professional pathways we offer our members. We will be introducing a global IAF mentoring program and new professional designation that can be used as a setting stone to accreditation as an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator. We are using the excellent work done in the past by Oceania members on mentoring programs to contribute to this initiaitive.
  3. Enabling Brand Ambassadorship
International Facilitation Week, the Facilitation Impact Awards and the Hall of Fame all contribute to raising awareness of the value of facilitation and recognising the power of facilitation worldwide. We will be encouraging members in the Oceania region to get involved in these initiaitives.

Becoming a CPF

The IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF) is the professional designation for facilitators who wish to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in facilitation by being benchmarked against the IAF core competencies.

Since the first Oceania CPF assessment was held in Sydney in 2007, some 40 IAF members have successfully completed an assessment in the region.

To find out more about becoming a CPF, contact Sharon Honner, Regional Director for Oceania.
