IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator (EF)

For facilitators who are beginning their professional journey, the IAF Endorsed™ Facilitator provides recognition of your developing skills. It demonstrates your commitment to professional standards and your alignment with the IAF Core Competencies, helping you build credibility as you grow your practice.

  • Requirements: IAF membership; at least 1 year of facilitation experience; completion of an online multiple-choice exam and review by IAF assessors.

  • Validity: 4 years.

IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF)

The IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF) is the premier global credential for experienced facilitators. Achieving CPF status demonstrates proven competence across the IAF Core Competencies and gives you international recognition as a trusted professional who can design and lead effective group processes.

  • Requirements: IAF membership; facilitation of at least 7 workshops in the last 3 years; evidence of Core Competencies; two-stage peer assessment (written submission and live demonstration).

  • Validity: 3 years (renewable).

IAF Master Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF)

The Master Certified™ Professional Facilitator recognises the highest level of facilitation expertise. Awarded to those with extensive experience and a strong record of impact, the Master CPF signals mastery of the IAF Core Competencies and positions you as a leader and mentor within the global facilitation community.

  • Requirements: IAF membership; CPF in good standing; significant facilitation experience; demonstration of advanced competence and contribution to the profession through a rigorous peer review process.

  • Validity: 4 years (renewable).

IAF Emeritus Certified™ Professional Facilitator

The Emeritus CPF designation honours long-standing facilitators who have made a significant contribution to the profession. It recognises both their history of practice and their commitment to advancing the field, offering lasting acknowledgment of their legacy within the IAF community.

  • Requirements: IAF membership; CPF or Master CPF in good standing; significant years of professional practice; contribution to the profession; application reviewed by assessors.

  • Validity: Lifetime (no renewal required).
